My Lengthy Ditty
It’s another beautiful day.
New crops are being planted.
Cows are being milked.
Fresh harvests are made.
It hasn't stopped raining.
How scorching bright, the sun still declare
his presence.
How refreshingly well, the breeze under the
tree still serves us.
How sweet the smell of drizzles when it hits
the native soil.
Still, we scamper to borrow umbrellas
Still, we're being terrorized by floods.
Still, faulty homes and poorly founded houses
abound.
Still, we whine about the weather.
History has never left us alone.
Our story writers have never relented.
Our petrol has become synonymous with our air.
Our resilience only increases.
We still pray to God.
Still, we reach to strangle one another.
Smiles; inspired by deceit.
Bigotry and egocentrism cloaked with pietism.
The conductor still asks us for change.
Lads are still at one other’s throat for the
glorified mirages on girlie blogs.
Myriads of Cubs are still found lying in blood
of hooliganism and wanton malignity.
Coition is still not reserved for those in
magnificent and legal alliances.
Ripe mangoes and its homologies still go to
waste in the fertile oriental yards.
The occidental timberlands and fields are
being treacherously betrayed by her literate proprietors.
The beautiful austral waters and islands are
still unattractive to tourism.
The fair sex still mourns her progenies and
swain in the northerly frontiers.
Yet, we globe-trot in personal crafts just as
we fall victims of strange maladies and pauperism
Yet, we celebrate birthdays just as we exalt
burials jollification
Yet, we get up just as we trip.
Yet, we smile just as we frown
The smile and the frown;
The tears and the shrieks;
The sweat and the shiver;
The fear and the courage;
These and more: our lives in play.
This is the only time we're going to live;
We know that; i wish.
The world can never be devoid of negativities;
A fact of which we're aware; i wish
The world only shows us our real self;
If you find the world boring, then you lack
hobbies;
Our life ceases when the vicissitudes all
cease;
For our true worth is what we exteriorize when
gloom come smiling at us.
